Stories of redemption and total transformation in Christ are just a few of the miracles we are witness to on the reservations recently! See below how God is providing and moving!
· Tracy was given permission to share this testimony: At age 18 “K” left home searching for independence and autonomy. What she found was a dark world of sex-trafficking, drug addiction, and unfathomable fear. K came back home but the damage was done and she felt the guilt and shame of her choices which led to a life of continued darkness. She had her first child with a man who raped and impregnated his own sister and was incarcerated for it. She then found a different man who she thought was “the one” and they quickly had children which they were not ready to care for. Both were in and out of jail, addiction, and infidelity for the next two years. He did not treat her well and often belittled and degraded her. Then it all came to a head. Separation, divorce papers, and moving away was her only escape once the children were removed from the home and all hope was gone. She then turned to a homosexual relationship with a female who was transitioning to become a man and they used meth and alcohol to cope with her jealousy. Then K prostituted herself for money to live on and re-entered a world of regular drug abuse from pills to pot to numb it all. And then a promiscuous relationship with a felon who got her pregnant again. The father of her unborn child held a knife to her neck and threatened to kill the baby if she left him. Trapped, scared, and exhausted she escaped and lived in a women’s shelter. It was there she found respite, unconditional love of Godly friends, and Jesus again. Fed up with the path she had chosen she started talking to her husband again and realized after all this time that he WAS the one. And like a story ripped from the pages of scripture of Josea and Gomer, her husband accepted her back and agreed to take the baby in as his own. She turned back to Jesus, became a completely new person, and is being baptized tonight in the Missouri River! Only God! Update: Tracy got to help baptize her and is rejoicing in the Lord!
· Tracy continues to do a bible study Monday’s at 10am with native women believers on the reservation which is quite an honor. They started as a group of three and are now at 20 women!
· There have been many events this summer so far including many salvations, baptisms and people rededicating their lives to Christ and lots of seeds planted.
· Mark continues his bible study with the guys on Wednesdays as well as serve the community all week with helping people get food as he picks up and delivers once a week from a food bank that distributes food.
Please remember to pray for these people and that they would continue to
respond to the gospel! We would also covet your prayers as we continue to learn and do life with the people of this community, especially the drug epidemic, severe poverty, and spirit of suicide focused on the youth that continues to devastate the community. Please pray for Mark and I as we try to shine a light among penetrating darkness and all of the spiritual warfare that accompany this task. Thank you so much for your faithful partnership with us! You are participating in the coming fruit!! We are so thankful for each one of our partners like you that share in the
coming harvest!! Thank you so much for joining us in the Great Commission
to make disciples of all Nations! You are making a difference!
