This week has been so special — our eldest daughter came down to Panama, and we’ve been soaking up every moment with her! We’ve explored new corners of this beautiful country together and enjoyed the gift of simply being together before she heads home in just a few days. Family time means the world to us, and we are incredibly thankful for it! It’s such a blessing to show Mercy not only the beautiful sights of Panama but also introduce her to our community in Veracruz. Sharing stories about the amazing people we’ve met and the real needs around us has helped her understand what our life here is really about. As much as we treasure these joyful moments, there’s also a sweetness mixed with the ache of missing family far away. It’s not always easy, but having Mercy here helps us cherish our time together even more deeply.
Mercy even brought a special box from dear friends back home filled with little pieces of “normal” — Cosmic Brownies, Chick-fil-A sauce, and more. Since there isn’t a reliable mail system here, having these treats with us is a beautiful reminder of how much we’re loved and remembered.
Jenna spent time at a local school helping with their special education program, meeting amazing people and making new connections that we can only describe as God’s hand at work.
We also joined an entrepreneurship fair in Veracruz, where we met even more incredible people and saw firsthand the needs in this community. The Gospel is so needed here.
