We can hardly believe we’re already planning for 2026! We can’t share all the details just yet (because, well, it’s still unfolding), but let’s just say—we are so excited. The kind of excited that keeps you up at night dreaming, praying, and shaking your head in awe because only God could weave together something like this. When we came to Panama, we honestly thought it would take at least a year to build connections or form meaningful relationships. But God… only God. He’s been moving faster and deeper than we ever imagined—connecting hearts, building bridges, and bringing people together to glorify His name.
One thing we haven’t shared much about here is the incredible school where Jenna has been volunteering. In Panama, the special needs community looks very different than in the States. Many children with special needs don’t have access to consistent or specialized education—if any at all. Out of that need, this small but mighty school was born—a place filled with teachers who have hearts of gold and a passion to make a difference in the lives of these kiddos. Jenna spends many hours each week there—creating plans, setting goals, and working one-on-one with students. Just this week, she found herself sitting on the floor beside a student who’d hit his emotional limit for the day. Moments like that remind us what real ministry looks like—meeting people right where they are with love, patience, and grace.
This school is doing amazing things—caring for children as whole people, not just students—and doing it all with very limited resources. And one of the most beautiful lessons we’ve learned? When it comes to our special needs friends, behavior speaks louder than words, and love doesn’t need translation. Whether in English or Spanish, every behavior points to a deeper need—and God gives wisdom, even across language barriers. We’re still working hard on our Spanish (turns out it’s a little harder than we thought!), but how thankful we are for a God who speaks straight to the heart and doesn’t need words to make Himself known.
God is moving here in Panama, and we’re just humbled to be part of it. 2026 is shaping up to be something amazing—and we can’t wait to share more soon.
