Wow… three weeks! That’s all that stands between us and this huge leap of faith to Panama! SO CRAZY!!
Here’s a little life update:
We closed on our home! Last week, we officially said goodbye to our house, and let us tell you—God showed up in BIG ways! In this wild economy, our house literally sold at a garage sale (YES, you read that right!) and made it all the way through to closing. Only God! We are renting it back until just before we leave, which means now it’s crunch time to pack, prepare, and say our goodbyes.
We have a home in Panama! We officially signed a contract for a rental townhouse, so we have a place waiting for us when we land. Having that piece in place is a huge relief as we prepare to transition.
Dog travel prep is NO JOKE. Who knew getting our pups to Panama would be such a process?! Between specialty vet visits, tons of paperwork, and even a one-day round trip drive to Houston to get documents signed, it’s been a whirlwind! But we’re making progress, and we’re so thankful for each step forward.
Time with our kids—We were able to take a special trip with our kiddos a few weeks ago, giving us some much-needed time to connect and process this transition together. It was especially important for our older adult girls who will be staying in the States—such a mix of emotions for all of us, but we are so grateful for the time we had together.
Prayer Requests:
- Emotions are high—for our immediate family, extended family, and friends. This is a huge change, and we are all feeling it deeply.
- Final preparations—packing, visas, logistics, goodbyes… so much to do in so little time!
- Trusting God every step of the way—we have seen His hand in all of this, and we continue to lean on Him as we take these next steps in faith.
Thank you for praying for us, encouraging us, and walking this journey with us! We love and appreciate you all more than words can say. The countdown is ON! 🇵🇦
