The Choi Family

It’s been more than a decade serving overseas as a family. And the African Proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone; If you want to go far, go together”, rings so true. As we head to the next step in our journey, would you consider walking together with us? God is calling us to DAKAR, SENEGAL! Yes! Africa! Who knew? God did! Martin will be stepping into the Assistant Principal position at Dakar Academy West.  

Dakar Academy where we will be working is a non-profit organization. All of the staff are missionaries. The hope is to be a beacon of light in the city, country, and continent. The school is actively involved in community development and service. Student tuition enables the school to continue taking education to rural areas where missionaries are serving without opportunities for their children. The third campus opened this year and the tuition contributes to co-ops in Guinea and Liberia.

Located at the westernmost point of the continent and served by multiple air and maritime travel routes, Senegal is known as the “Gateway to Africa.” The official language is French. And the main religion is Islam. A whole new culture for us to explore, learn, and experience! God is transitioning us into a full fundraising position. The amount we need to raise monthly as a 4-person family is $3000 USD.
