Hi Friends! Just wanted to give a quick update on where we are in the process of moving to Spain.
I left Knoxville on Tuesday evening, arriving into Spain on Wednesday morning. I had scheduled 2 school tours (one for Thursday, one for Friday), walking the city and meeting up with new friends we’d been connected with in between times. It’s Friday night, and I’m now back at the airport, waiting to fly to Madrid, spend the night, wake up and fly home tomorrow.
It’s been a quick, exhausting trip – but school for the girls feels important and something we needed to invest some time to ensure some longevity in country.
Both schools were great – each with their own separate ethos – one being Montessori, one being more mainstream. Both being bilingual and supportive for little kids learning a new language.
I’m incredibly grateful for Matt back at home, allowing me to take this short trip to gain peace of mind in moving our family to another continent. It also allowed me to lay eyes on the city we spent a few weeks; it’s still as lovely as ever – with so many friendly, helpful people.
Now – to weigh the pros/cons of each school and make a decision where to register them! I’ll be glad to check that item off the list.
In the meantime, we continue to speak in front of churches/groups as able and have a goal of being fully funded by January 2025!!
As always, thank you for your support!
