Tricia and I are currently ministering in Newberg, Oregon at the Newberg Friends Church, but our calling is beyond the local church and to the Ekklesia in this area. After several years in YWAM, we moved to Newberg and started La Brise, a resting home fashioned after Jesus' saying to "come away and rest for a while". We have offered a place of rest for pastors, missionaries, military, healthcare workers, and many more. We have also met weekly for the "Wooing", a gathering of believers from all over the area.
We adhere to the belief that there is no sacred/secular split and that all ministry is God's ministry. We meet to encourage area pastors and influencers; we have created and coordinate Adore events, which are gatherings of the Greater Body of Christ in this area. Kenny also leads worship and speaks at events in the area. Tricia is an LMT, but also meets one on one in God-appointments with ladies in the community.
"Come away and rest for awhile" Those words of Jesus still ring true today. Part of a healthy lifestyle whether in ministry and in the marketplace is this idea of self-care. When we try to give out of our own need, we become depleted and ineffective. God is calling us away to find rest for our souls. Thank you for caring for those who need to get away and be renewed.
