About Brian

In the summer of 2022, God placed a powerful vision on Brian’s heart: a vibrant network of home fellowships spreading across Oklahoma and beyond. These gatherings—small groups of 12 to 15 people from all walks of life—meet regularly to grow in faith, build authentic relationships, and “spur one another on toward love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24). Along with these house fellowships, smaller groups called “fellowship bands” form with 3 to 4 people committed to a deeper level of discipleship, accountability, and spiritual growth.

Along with the house and band fellowships, there would be regular “Sabbath meetings” that would allow celebrating Christian community and discipleship in a larger setting.

This vision echoes the early church in the New Testament and the transformative movement led by John Wesley, who gathered the first Methodists in class meetings and bands. It’s also the heartbeat of the Inspire Movement—a modern-day revival of missional discipleship that Brian is deeply committed to.

Brian’s passion extends beyond forming missional discipleship communities. He loves teaching the Bible, helping people experience healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—and guiding believers in the discovery and use of spiritual gifts for God’s glory.

Brian and his wife, Gail, have been joyfully married for over 30 years. They’re proud parents of a daughter currently studying acting at Oklahoma State University.

After 32 years of faithful service as a pastor, Brian sensed God’s call to step into a new season of ministry. In January 2024, he transitioned out of church leadership to fully pursue the vision of missional discipleship. The first two house fellowships launched in early 2025, and the movement is growing.

Brian holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary and is an ordained elder in the Global Methodist Church. He now serves as an Inspire Missioner, dedicating his life to equipping and encouraging others in this calling.

To continue this work, Brian is actively raising financial support for his family, allowing him to focus fully on the ministry God has entrusted to him. Brian and Gail warmly invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with them—through prayer, encouragement, and financial support—as they follow God’s lead in this exciting mission.

What Is the Inspire Movement?

The Inspire Movement is a global network of Christians committed to cultivating Missional Discipleship—a way of life that empowers believers to walk closely with God and live out their faith in everyday encounters. Since its founding in 2007, Inspire has been helping churches and individuals rediscover the transformative power of discipleship rooted in Scripture and the wisdom of John Wesley.

At its heart, Inspire promotes discipleship as a Way of Life, built on four core practices:

  • Seeking growth in the love of God
  • Using spiritual disciplines as a means of grace
  • Sharing fellowship with spiritual friends
  • Engaging mission through love of neighbor

These practices form the DNA of Inspire’s approach to renewing disciple-making in the church. They are lived out through Fellowship Bands (small groups of 3–4 for deep accountability), House Fellowships (weekly gatherings of 12–15 people), and church planting teams that carry this vision into new communities.

Though ecumenical in nature, Inspire draws deeply from the Wesleyan tradition, embracing its emphasis on holiness, grace, and mission. The movement partners with individuals, churches, and organizations to offer training, mentoring, and resources that support this disciple-making ministry.

Inspire’s School of Discipleship equips people through in-person and online Learning Communities, offering courses on Missional Discipleship, Fellowship Bands, House Fellowships, and more. These communities foster spiritual growth in a relational, supportive environment.

The movement stays connected through retreats, online gatherings, newsletters, and a growing network of Missioners who guide and support others in living out the Inspire vision.

Founded by Rev. Dr. Philip Meadows and his wife Samantha, Inspire continues to grow across denominations and continents, helping believers become whole-life disciples and everyday missionaries who abide deeply with God and live missionally in the world.
