Hi, I’m Amanda. And I’m a walking miracle.
Five years ago, doctors told me I wouldn’t live to see my next birthday. Since then, I’ve survived multiple organ failures, endured a terminal scleroderma diagnosis, and broken more than 30 bones—including both hips, femurs, and my pelvis. I’ve been told more than once I would never walk again. And yet, I’m still here.
Every day, I rely on specialized treatments, blood transfusions, and daily hyperbaric oxygen therapy just to keep going. Medicine can’t explain why my heart is still beating and my body is still moving. But I know this: every step I take is a miracle.
Instead of surrendering to fear or limitation, I’ve chosen unapologetic faith and unending hope. I’ve walked marathons around the world—London, Stockholm, and even the Netherlands’ 100-mile 4Daagse. I now share my journey through writing, speaking, and racing, not to highlight my illness but to remind others that miracles are real, and that hope is always possible.
My mission is simple: to inspire people to believe again. To take the next step. To live their own miracle story.
Through my fiscal sponsorship with Donor Fund, I am able to receive tax-deductible contributions to support my medical and daily living costs, as well as my mission expenses—to race around the world spreading hope, handing out stickers, and inspiring people through my miracle story. This allows me to focus less on nonprofit management and more on living fully and carrying the message of miracles everywhere I go.
• Medical expenses: Your support helps me fight for my life. Living with terminal scleroderma and its complications means ongoing transfusions, surgeries, and specialized care.
• Housing and daily needs: Your gift allows me to keep walking toward sunsets and writing my story of hope.
• Travel, races, and speaking: Your generosity helps take this story from what doctors deemed impossible to a dream that’s proved unstoppable.
I can’t do this without help.
Will you be a part of my miracle story?
This fall, Amanda will walk a total of 180 miles across races from 5Ks to marathons—launching at the Broncos 7K and finishing at the Honolulu Marathon. The financial goal of this project is $18,000: • $8,000 toward Amanda’s mission and medical expenses. Ongoing costs for specialized, lifesaving care and treatment remain her largest financial burden. By supporting this project, you are helping her continue to inspire hope while walking toward her own miracle. • $10,000 to benefit the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA), which empowers youth, adults, and injured military with physical and visual disabilities through inclusive adaptive sports. Amanda will participate as an adaptive athlete in the Abbott World Marathon Majors on behalf of GLASA. By supporting the 180 Mile Miracle, you are fueling Amanda’s fight to walk against the odds and helping GLASA ensure everyone belongs at the starting line. This is a story bigger than miles or medals—we are on a mission to declare that hope is always possible because miracles are real.
