Hi, I’m Amanda. And I’m a walking miracle.

Six years ago, doctors told me I wouldn’t live to see my next birthday. Since then, I’ve survived multiple organ failure, endured a terminal systemic sclerosis diagnosis, and broken more than 30 bones, including both hips, femurs, and my pelvis. I’ve been told more than once I would never walk again. And yet, I’m still here.

Every day, I rely on specialized treatments, blood transfusions, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy just to keep living. Medicine can’t explain why my heart is still beating and my body is still moving. But I know this: every step I take is a miracle.

In September 2024, I entered a 7K race simply because it finished on the field at Mile High Stadium. I walked and danced through it while handing out my “It’s a Miracle” stickers along the way. I crossed that finish line feeling like I had somehow stepped into an entirely new life.

4 months later I shocked everyone (including myself) by completing a half and full marathon on back to back days. Since then, I’ve completed 13 marathons in 5 countries, walked 100 miles through the Netherlands, and discovered a completely unexpected life somewhere between hospital beds and finish lines.

I now share my journey through writing, speaking, and racing, not to highlight my illness but to remind others that a diagnosis or difficult season does not have to define every day that comes after it.

My mission is simple: to inspire people to believe again. To take the next step. To live their own miracle story.
